What is the Time Commitment?

How often does the WBC meet?

We meet 2-3 times each month, and our calendar has recommended invites: People we suggest you invite to the Zooms, so the transformational work is spread across your Y!

  • 1st and last Friday each month at 12PM EST
  • 3rd Wednesday for Co-Creation sessions at 2PM EST
  • 2nd Tuesday for Leadership Roundtable with CEOs/Sr. Leaders at 11AM EST

Outside of this, your time commitment is completely dependent on your YMCA’s needs!

Can we localize the resources?

Yes, everything in the WBC can be localized for your YMCA! From the experience trainings like Listen First or Cause-Driven Tours, to the membership campaigns and YMCA specific stock footage, everything can be localized to your community. All our work says “The YMCA”, but not a specific association, and it is highly encouraged to localize the operations, using our tools and support, to create the most quality experience possible!

What is our Theory of Change?

ACHIEVEMENT

Children learn new skills, members set goals, and families grow

We provide support services that enable children to learn new skills, empowering them to reach their full potential, and Y members to set personal goals, fostering growth and development for individuals and their families within the YMCA community.

RELATIONSHIPS

Seniors form meaningful connections, small groups gather, and all are welcome

We recognize the importance of creating environments where seniors can form valuable relationships, combating social isolation and promoting overall well-being. Additionally, the collaborative supports the gathering of small groups, providing inclusive spaces for individuals to connect, share experiences, and find common interests.

BELONGING

Campers feel included, staff know their purpose, and we are strengthening community together

We aim to create inclusive and supportive environments where campers feel included and part of a larger community. Additionally, the collaborative helps YMCA staff members understand their purpose and equips them to provide meaningful experiences for campers, further strengthening the sense of community within YMCAs.
